Frequently Asked Questions

 Q.  I have a concept for my tattoo, but I need help bringing it to life.  Can you help me?                                   A.  Absolutely!  Whether it's a little jammer or a multiple session project, our 20 years experience in the tattoo industry has given us a wide artistic palette to pull from, able to handle any style you're into!

 Q.   Do you have walk-in availability?                                                                                                                       A.   Woke up with an itch to get a sweet new tattoo?  AWESOME!   We do tattoo walk-in sessions on a first come, first serve basis, which means the earlier you stop by, the sooner we can figure out what you want and how long it will take to do.   Tattoos that require drawing preparation are always by appointment only so we can draft and refine your idea into a piece that exceeds what you thought possible!  If you happen to come in and all of our artists are busy with clients, we ask you to be patient and we'll get you in as soon as we can!

 Q.   I want to be sure I'm getting tattooed in a clean and sterile environment.  Tell me about your equipment and procedure.                                                                                                                                           A.   Your health and safety are of the utmost importance to us!  All needles, tubes and pigments are single use for every client, opened from their sealed packaging at the beginning of your session.  Everything we handle during the course of the tattoo has a cross-contamination barrier film which is disposed of properly when we're done, then all surfaces are wiped with a germicidal disinfectant ensuring everyone is walking out with a good clean tattoo.  All of our artists  are trained and certified in proper bloodbourne pathogen/cross-contamination prevention standards, so relax, you're in the most professional and experienced hands around!                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    Q.   How old do I have to be to get tattooed at Red Lotus?                                                                                    A.   You must be 18 with a valid state identification card to legally receive a tattoo in Pennsylvania, so be sure you have one before coming in.  If you're 16 or 17, we can do your tattoo, but we're going to need your parent or legal guardian with you in person (no we can't call your mom on the phone to ask if it's okay) with valid ID from you both.  If you do not have a valid state issued ID card, we will absolutely need your school ID AND birth certificate accompanying your parent or legal guardian's ID.                                                                                                                                                                                                                               Q.   I've been drinking, can I get a tattoo?                                                                                                                 A.   No, sorry.  If you're visibly under the influence of alcohol or drugs, we absolutely will not under any circumstances perform a procedure on you.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       Q.   I'd like to make an appointment, how do I go about booking a session?                                                       A.   Start by gathering some reference material so we have a starting point for your tattoo.  Getting a visual for your concept will help us get on the same page and bring your artwork to life!  Custom tattoo sessions require a booked consultation appointment to go over placement, size and price.  A $50.00 non-refundable deposit locks your appointment in our books and gets your artist going with artwork preparation.  The $50.00 deposit then goes to your total price of your tattoo, or is carried over to your next appointment when working on a multiple session tattoo project.  Keep in mind no appointment is booked or tattoo artwork rendered unless a deposit is received,  payable with cash, debit, or through our secure PayPal redlotustattooco@gmail.com.   Single session tattoos (completed in 1 session) will have a set price, multiple session tattoo projects are priced at $125.00 an hour.
